Provincial Grand Master's Acceptance.

Provincial Grand Chaplain to offer up a Prayer.

O God of Bethel. - Tune, St Paul.

O God of Bethel! by whose hand,
Thy people still are fed;
Who through this weary pilgrimage
Hast all our fathers led.

O spread Thy cov'ring wings around,
Till all our wand'rings cease,
And at our Father's lov'd abode
Our souls arrive in peace

Our vows, our prayers we now present
Before Thy throne of Grace;
God of our Fathers! be the God
Of their succeeding race.

Such blessings from Thy gracious hand
Our humble prayers implore;
And Thou shall be our chosen God
And portion evermore.

Through each perplexing path of life
Our wand'ring footsteps guide
Give us each day our daily bread,
And raiment fit provide

Provincial Grand Master then steps forward to lay the Stone

Presentation of Mallet by the Earl of Airlie

Presentation of Trowel by Mr John Ogilvy of Lisden

Provincial Grand Master calls upon the Provincial Grand Secretary and Provincial Grand Treasurer to place the coins, &c., in the cavity of the Stone, and the Provincial Grand Architect to bring forward the necessary workmen—when coins, &c., are placed.

"The Hundredth Psalm." - To be sung by the Choir.

All people that on earth do dwell,
Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice,
Him serve with mirth, His praise forthtell
Come ye before Him and rejoice

O enter then His gates with praise
Approach with joy His courts unto ;
Praise, laud, and bless His name always,
For it is seemly so to do.

Know that the Lord is God indeed ;
Without our aid He did us make; We are His flock, He doth us (eed,
And for Hissheep He doth us take.
.

For why ? the Lord our God is good,
His mercy is for ever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood,
And shall from age to age endure.
.

While this is being sung; three distinct stops are made in bringing down the Stone.

Provincial Grand Master upon this walks from the platform to the east of the Stone, with the Provincial Grand Master Depute on his right hand, the Provincial Grand Wardens walking before him, who go to the west, having with them the Level and the Plumb.

Provincial Grand Master says:—-"Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Depute, you will cause the various implements to be applied to the Stone, that it may be laid in its bed according to the Rules of Masonry." The Provincial Grand Master Depute orders the Wardens to do their duty. Provincial Grand Master then says—" Worshipful Junior Provincial Grand Warden, what is the proper Jewel of your office?"—"The Plumb." " Have you applied the Plumb to the several edges of the Stone ?"—" I have, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master."

" Worshipful Senior Provincial Grand Warden, what is the proper Jewel of your office ? "—" The Level." " Have you applied the Level to the top of the Stone?"—"I have, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master."
" Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Depute, what is the proper Jewel of your office ? "—" The Square" " Have you applied the Square to those parts of the Stone that are square ? "— " I have, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master."

The Provincial Grand Master then says—" Having, my Right Worshipful Brethren, full confidence in your skill in our Royal Art, it remains with me now to finish this work."

He then gives the Stone three knocks, saying—" May the Almighty Architect of the Universe look down with benignity upon our present undertaking, and crown the Monument, in which we have now laid this Memorial Stone, with every honour."

Behold how good a thing it is.
And how becoming well,
Together such as brethren are
In unity to dwell!
Like precious ointment on the head,
That down the beard did flow,

Ev'n Aaron's beard and to the skirts,
Did of his garments go.
As Hermon's dew, the dew that doth
On Sion hills descend ;
For there the blessing God commands
Life that shall never end.

During the Music,

The Cornucopia is delivered to the Provincial Grand Master Depute, the Vase with Wine to the Senior Provincial Grand Warden, and the Vase with Oil to the Junior Provincial Grand Warden.

After the Music ceases, the Cornucopia is delivered by the Provincial Grand Master Depute to the Provincial Grand Master, who throws its contents upon the Stone. The Vase with Wine is then handed to the Depute, who delivers it to the Provincial Grand Master, who pours it upon the Stone, and the Oil in the same manner, the Provincial Grand Chaplain saying—

" Praise be to the Lord immortal and eternal, who formed the Heavens, laid the foundations of the Earth, and extended the Waters beyond it— who supports the Pillars of Nations, and maintains in order and harmony surrounding Worlds. We implore Thy aid, and may the continued blessings of an All-bounteous Providence be the lot of these our native shores ; and may the Almighty Ruler of events deign to direct the hand of our Gracious King, so that he may pour down- blessings upon his people ; and may that people, living under sage laws, in a free government, ever feel grateful for the blessings they enjoy."

"To Heaven's High Architect" - To be sung by the Choir.

To Heaven's High Architect
All praise, all gratitude be given,
Who deigned the human soul to raise
By secrets sprung from Heaven

Now swells the choir in solemn tone,
And hov'ring angels join;
Religion looks delighted down,
When vot'ries press the shrine.

The Grand Officers return to their platform when the anthem ceases

Address by the Provincial Grand Master

"Peace, Perfect Peace." - To be sung by the Choir.

Peace, perfect peace, with loved ones
far away?
In  Jesus' keeping   we  are save   and
they.
Peace,  perfect peace,  our future all
unknown ?
Jesus we know, and   He   is   on   the
throne.

Peace, perfect peace, death shadowing
us and ours ?
Jesus has vanquished death and all its
powers.
It  is enough: earth's struggles soon
shall cease,
And Jesus call us to heaven's perfect
peace.

Vote of Thanks to Provincial Grand Master

"National Anthem." - To be sung by the Choir

God save our gracious King ;
 Long live our noble King ;
God save the King!
 Send him victorious,
Happy and glorious.
1ong to reign over us ;
God save the King!

Thy choicest gifts in store
On him be pleased to pour;
Long may he reign;
May he defend our laws
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice,
"God save the King !"  Amen.
